A classic coffee liquor but home-made. Why buy when it’s so easy to make it yourself? And you’re also able to choose your coffee flavour. For this recipe, we use the Sjöstrand N°4 espresso decaf so you can enjoy some late-night cocktails without disrupting your sleep, but you can of course use any Sjöstrand coffee capsule to bring in notes of your favourite flavour to the liquor.
Ingredients (Yields about 2.5 dl)
2 capsules of Sjöstrand Espresso N°4
0,5 dl icing sugar
1 dl dark rum
1 ml vanilla powder (or fresh vanilla beans, not the sugar)
1 bottle (2,5 dl or larger)
1 cup (for brewing)
1 measuring cup set
Step 1. Brew two cups of espresso
Step 2. Add the sugar and mix. Let it cool.
Step 3. Add rum and vanilla powder.
Step 4. Enjoy the fact that you made your own coffee liquor alternative.
